Good morning!

Actually, I woke three (almost four) hours ago, but yeah. I started with the bullet journal (gratitudes and affirmations), moved on to forgotten coffee, and then got sidetracked by some NaNoWriMo stuff I really ought to get done soon because October is going to be…frantic.

Yesterday was absolutely long. And so busy. Both parents are down for the count, and there is a rather large fence that needs power washing. Power washing a fence involves getting the fence wet, then changing the nozzle to add the soapy chemical that loosens up the gross stuff that needs to come off so it can be repainted, and then waiting three to five minutes until that soaks in.Once that’s all done, the nozzle gets changed again, and then

Once that’s all done, the nozzle gets changed again, and then the real work begins. The sprayer has to be close to the fence, and the fence is five and a half feet tall. I’m tall, but this still involves reaching and then bending to get to the bottom of the fence, and in the process, the water and the crud that gets removed sprays back on you, so you end up getting wet and dirty.

The entire time you’re bending and stretching, and switching hands because squeezing the trigger on the power washer gets tiring. And to be honest, I didn’t even realize I was getting tired, but today, I am so very sore. My feet, especially, and I’m going to blame that on poor shoes.

I didn’t get nearly as much done as I wanted, but it was more than would have been managed without me. And though I probably should have offered to come back today to do more today, I didn’t.

Laundry seemed to take forever, too. Now the kids really stepped up. They helped with laundry, my daughter made most of lunch with adult supervision, and nothing was left to slack, so I’m really not sure why we didn’t get home until almost 10 p.m. But, we managed.

Today, I am sore. Up for another couple hours after we got back, I didn’t wake today until 11 a.m. It was fabulous! But now, I suppose, it’s time to get working. I have a blog post to write (thanks, Jamiefriend, for keeping me in topics!), and some letters to write – actual letters and NaNoWriMo stuff, and a calendar to update. Wish me luck!
